About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Duisburg. You will work on complex and multidisciplinary infrastructure and construction projects, providing critical input into ground investigations, foundation design, and geotechnical risk assessments. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong technical background and proven experience in delivering geotechnical solutions across various project stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and interpret geotechnical site investigations, including borehole drilling, in-situ testing, and laboratory analysis.

  • Develop geotechnical models and conduct foundation design, slope stability analysis, settlement calculations, and retaining structure assessments.

  • Prepare and review technical reports, risk assessments, and design documents in accordance with German and Eurocode standards.

  • Collaborate closely with civil, structural, and environmental engineering teams on interdisciplinary projects.

  • Provide technical supervision during construction phases and advise on ground-related construction challenges.

  • Liaise with clients, authorities, and contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical excellence.

  • Support project management with input on timelines, budgets, and resource planning.

Your Profile:

  • Degree (Dipl.-Ing./M.Sc.) in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally within infrastructure projects.

  • Sound knowledge of German geotechnical standards (DIN 1054, EC7, etc.) and construction regulations.

  • Proficiency with relevant software tools such as PLAXIS, GGU, Geo5, D-Wall, or similar.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

  • Fluency in German at C1 level (spoken and written) is mandatory.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
